Ashley Harper

"I think God puts us in certain places to help people.... little things remind me that this is why I'm here, not for me, but it's about the relationships we build with other people. and how we lift them up."

As an emergency foster parent, Ashley takes in children of all ages that are at the greatest need in that moment. Ashley and her amazing husband, Rich, welcome babies with only a diaper on, sulky teenagers, and any age in between. The Harpers' buy them clothes, feed them, and give them utmost love and care. They have SHOWN their own adorable son, Breckin, what “love thy neighbor” and “it takes a village” means. Ashley is a beloved trainer and instructor of fitness at Ida Lee recreation center. She has run marathons, qualifying for Boston and others, and you’ll even spot her running around Leesburg with her dog before teaching several classes.
